When most people think of the best Divison in the NFL they immediately think the NFC East. From the NFC East comes the defending Super Bowl Giants, the most talented team in the NFL, the Cowboys. The Redskins who have had a good season so far and an above average Eagles team who’s record doesn’t show it’s team.

In the NFC South though you have the Tampa Bay Buccaners who have had success with both Jeff Garcia and Brian Griese, they are 4-2. Then you have the Carolina Panthers, who in week 1 upset the Chargers in the final 6 seconds. One of their 2 losses is to division rival Tampa Bay. The Atlanta Falcons, probably the best breakout team of the year so far. With a rookie quaterback in Matt Ryan and newly acquired Michael Turner from San Diego they are really a threat to teams. As we saw last week against Chicago Matt Ryan can do deep and to the sidelines which set up a field goal made by Jason Elam in the final seconds. At 3-3 are the New Orleans Saints, but they are really a lot better than their record. They were plaqued by injuries in their best wide receiver Marques Colston and their starting tight end Jeremey Shockey. Last week they had a heart-breaking loss to Minnesota which they should have won considering Reggie Bush’s 2 punt return TDs. Even with his #1 Wide reciever and tight end, Drew Brees still can distribute the ball. He already has 1,993 passing yards and is on set to break Dan Marino’s single season passing yards record.

In the playoffs I would really look for one of these teams, maybe 2 to really go deep in the playoffs and be a problem for other teams such as those from the NFC East.
