Quick Takes on games.

Dolphins vs Ravens.

Final: Ravens 27, Dolphins 13. No Wildcat by Miami this game, and Baltimore really dominated most of the game. An interception returned for a touchdown really set the Ravens into win this game. Joe Flacco had 232 yards and a touchdown and Running back Willis McGahee had 105 yards. Chad Pennington has 295 yards and a touchdown and interception. Joey Porter adds another 2 sacks to his record. He had the third most so far this season.

Vikings vs Bears:

Final: Vikings: 41, Bears 48. Adrian Peterson with a quick first quater touchdown to begin the game. Cutler to Tight end Greg Olsen to tie it up. Lots of bad special team plays and defense lead to this high scoring game. For some fans it was exciting but it just showed us again how explosive Peterson and rookie Matt Forte are as running backs.  Kyle Orton: 283 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gus Ferotte: 4 interceptions, yes 4, 298 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Rams vs Cowboys:

Final: Rams 34, Cowboys 14. This game really showed us how BAD the Dallas Cowboys are. After going down 21-7 in the first quater they lost the game. I contribute this to Pacman Jones. I now would consider him to be a curse on the team. Since they got him they lost to Arizona, Washington, and now new head coach Jim Haslet. Haslet is now undeafated and is turning the Rams around 180 degrees. The Cowboys are falling apart, they have the best talent in the league and what are they doing. No stats on Roy Williams, almost nothing for Terrel Owens. Barber for 100 yards, Brad Johnson for 234 yards, and 3 interceptions. Marc Bulger for a touchdown and 173. To seal the deal Steven Jackson is back. 25 carries, 160 yards. Jim Haslet and Steven Jackson should lead this team to another win.

Steelers vs Bengals.

Final. Steelers: 38, Bengals: 10. At first this game was close at 10-7 and 17-10. But then the Steelers pulled away. After having a struggling offense in the beggining of the season, before the bye week against Jacksonville it took off. 3rd string running back Mewelde Moore: 120 yards, 3 touchdowns, 2 rushing. Ben Roethlisburger: 2 dollars and 16 cents with 2 touchdowns. In the fourth quater the Steelers took off on 19 un answered points.

Week 7 Picks

Here are my picks for week 7:

Chargers @ Bills: 17-24. Bills win.

Vikings @ Bears: 10-14. Bears win.

Steelers @ Bengals: 24-10. Steelers win.

Titans @ Chiefs: 27-7. Titans win.

Cowboys @ St. Louis: 10-17. Rams win.

Ravens @ Dolphins: 10-7. Ravens win.

49ers @ Giants: 24-14. Giants win.

Saints @ Panthers: 21-17. Saints win.

Lions @ Texans: 7-17. Texans win.

Jets @ Raiders: 24-10. Jets win

Colts @ Green Bay: 31-27. Colts win.

Browns @ Redskins: 24-14. Redskins win.

Seahawks @ Buccaners. 10-21. Buccaners win.

Broncos @ Patriots. 35-31. Broncos win.

Upset Alert: Dallas Cowboys. They lost to a weak Arizona defence last week. I know the Rams are 1-3, but since Jim Haslet stepped in they are 1-0. They beat the Redskins, not comfortably but it looks like they might have something going. Also with all of the Cowboys troubles it might be to much of a distraction for them. Romo, Pacman.

Picks of the week. Each week, I will pick the 2 best Quaterbacks, Running backs, and Wide Receivers, and 1 tight end which I think will do best.

Best Quaterbacks:

Drew Brees, 1,993 pass yards already, on pace to break Dan Marino’s record facing a 15th ranked Minnesota defence against the pass which isn’t bad, but not great.

Brett Favre: Facing a 25th ranked Oakland defence. Think of the old Brett Favre and what he did against the Cardinals the other week.

Running Backs:

Ryan Grant. He’s had a disapointing season so far but this week he’s playing a 29th ranked Colts defense against the run. Look for this to be a high scoring game with lots of Grant.

Clinton Portis: He’s leading the league in rushing right now with 643 yards. He’s going to be running against a 25th ranked Browns defence against the run. I believe last weeks win against the Giants was a fluke and look for Portis to really explode in this game.

Wide Receivers:

Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal: They faces a 12th ranked Patriots pass defense, but being ranked #2 in the pass really helps. To take pressure off Brandon there  is Eddie Royal, who I also expect to do well this week. Jay Cutler really looks like he’s ready to take off.

Lavernous Coles and Jericho Cotchery: Look for Brett Favre to do what he did against the Cardinals. Maybe only 4 or 5 touchdowns this time but he’ll be looking deep for Coles and Cotchery with a bad Oakland secondary. My only worry would be Nnamdi Asomugha, their star cornerback. But he can’t cover both.

Tight end: Chris Cooley, In times of need Jason Campbell can always drop it off to his great tight end. With an improving secondary Washington will look for short passes to the tight end and running the ball.

Have a good week 7 and go Steelers!!!
