College Football

Here I have a section about College Football, it will be short but I will try to put one game a week in here.

I watched the Texas (#1) vs Missouri (#11) game on Saturday night. I turned the TV off after the first half.

The Texas Head Coach is Mack Brown and the Missouri Tigers is Gary Pinkel. Texas Running back: Chris Obanya and for Mizzou, Derrick Washington. Wide receivers for Texas are Jordan Shipley, Quan Cosby, and Brandon Collins. For Missouri, Jeremy Maclin and Jared Perry.

QB Stats:

Colt McCoy (Texas): 18/20.

Chase Daniels (Mizzou): 14/22

I kept track of 4 of the Texas scoring drives as follows.

12 plays, 94 yards. 9 plays, 62 yards, 3 plays, 41 yards, and 9 plays 92 yards.

Halftime score: 35-3. Texas. Some of the highlights were: Colt McCoy’s 4 yard Touchdown rush, Chris Obanyaya’s 9 yard Touchdown rush. McCoy to Malcolm Williams for a 32 yards Touchdown reception. Obanyaya 10 yard touchdown run, and McCoy to Jordan Shipley for 10 yards and a Touchdown.

2 players I felt played well besides Colt McCoy: Texas Left Guard Charley Tanner. He really opened a hole for Chris Obanyaya to run through and jump start the offense. And Middle Linebacker, Jared Norton. In the first half he had 1 sack and was constantly putting pressure on Chase Daniels.
